Drawing History, list of opened DWG's during the last few weeks Help! I am trying to fillout timesheets (OK, they are two weeks old and I am slow...) But I think I remember ACAD offering a way to look up what has been opened over the past several weeks. It would help me recall what I was doing by seeing what drawings I opened.
Thanks! -Patricia

Re: Drawing History, list of opened DWG's during the last few weeks What version of AutoCAD? Older versions had the TODAY function. Newer ones, run the OPEN command, click the HISTORY button on the left side.

Re: Drawing History, list of opened DWG's during the last few weeks Try taking a look at your autosave folder, it may shed light on what files you were working on.

Re: Drawing History, list of opened DWG's during the last few weeks Scott, autosave only fires under certain circumstances so this may not help much.
Another idea is to set LOGFILEPATH to %temp% and make sure the log file is turned on all the time (set this up in ACADDOC.LSP) - then just let the log files write to the %temp% directory. Then go browse that at the end of the week.

Have a good one, Mike

Re: Drawing History, list of opened DWG's during the last few weeks True. I only suggest it since I set my autosave to 5 minutes, and it is a reliable method for me.

Re: Drawing History, list of opened DWG's during the last few weeks I would agree with the look in the history settings on the open file dialog box. Or do a search on the PC for .lnk files this will do the same thing as well.

Re: Drawing History, list of opened DWG's during the last few weeks Assuming I set my autosave to 5mins, how would this help me find drawings opened within the last week? Just curious

Re: Drawing History, list of opened DWG's during the last few weeks Wouldn't help us at all since our autosave is set to 0....

Re: Drawing History, list of opened DWG's during the last few weeks It wouldn't that I can see because the autosave files are only retained in the event of abnormal termination of the program. A successful shutdown of AutoCAD includes deleting all autosave files created during that session.
